Research
CVET conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of cardiovascular engineering, cell biology, physiology, imaging, and medical device development.
We focus on advancing the fundamental understanding of arrhythmogenesis and developing novel diagnostic tools and lifesaving antiarrhythmic therapies. We pursue both biological and device-based therapeutic strategies, including siRNA-mediated therapy, low-energy electrotherapy for arrhythmia, and stretchable and flexible electronic platforms. Our research is supported by the National Institutes of Health, the American Heart Association, the Leducq Foundation, and private philanthropy.
